A subject I like very much. You'll find here my homemade HF antenna which is a ground plane. I use a 12m long fiberglass pole with a wire inside. 15 radials are buried. At the base of the antenna I have a antenna coupler SG230 which couples the antenna from 160m to 10m. Low cost and simple antenna. I'm happy with it and some nice dx on the lower bands are in the log. But the best experience I had was with an inverted L. So you see that you don't need always big antenna for dx'ing. I've recorded some nice dx which are in the log !
Here you’ll find my dxcc summary.. I live in Belgium since END 2002. So that signify that I had to start again my dxcc. I made these stations only with wires antennas and NO amplifier. I’m happy with the result. Of course, during a contest like the UBA one, I cannot be so good as somebody having a 7 el beam at 50m... But the results are not too bad. My next goal is to get the 5BDXCC
